DasariskiAbout Dasariski

Dasariski combines the names and talents of Robert Dassie, Rich Talarico, and Craig Cackowski, and plays to sold-out houses every week at L.A.’s IO West Theater. Dasariski is known for their “slow play” style of longform improvisation, taking a single audience suggestion and creating a half-hour to hour-long piece of theater, focusing on creating believable characters and relationships, eschewing the cheap joke for the long-term payoff.

Bob, Rich, and Craig first met at Chicago’s IO in 1992, and over the years have played together in such ensembles as Mr. Blonde, Close Quarters, Baby Wants Candy, Trio, Cog, Quartet, and The Armando Show. All three are veterans of Chicago’s Second City, and their TV and film credits as writers and actors include Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, Arrested Development, Monk, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, the feature film High Fidelity, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Community and HBO's Funny or Die Presents. Festival appearances include Chicago Improv Festival, L.A. Improv Fest, Austin’s Out of Bounds, and UCB NY’s Del Close Marathon.

Dasariski also uses improv as a writing tool to create stage shows and short films, and are currently working on a pilot and a feature length script. Their scripted shows, Loose Fish and Dead Uncle Ted recently premiered at IO West, and their short film Jakarta Boom Boom, directed by Leroy Koetz and transcribed from one of their improvised performances, played at HBO’s Aspen and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals.
